When clones attack, Verify First's technology fights
back
Almost two years ago, Lucasfilm representatives
became concerned that the secure movie script for "Part
II: Attack of the Clones", would be a target for unauthorized
duplication and enlisted Verify First Technologies' (VFT) for its
expertise in the field of document security technology. Read the

ThermoSafe NaNOcopy Security
Paper
Verify First Technologies (VFT)
announced that effective January 1, 2002 it introduced a new anti-copy
safety paper available to certified security printers and end-users.
This anti-copy safety paper is trademarked under the name of ThermoSafe
NaNOcopy.
The company reports that this anti-copy paper will be available
in three different security levels and produced in two different
colors; gray and blue. Custom colors will also be available upon
request.
The paper has VFT's patent pending
ThermoSafe
and NaNOcopy
Copy/Void pantograph technologies on the face that both protects
against color copying and also easily verifies authenticity. "Levels
2 and 3 include a true watermark, SafeImage
security paper with invisible fibers, visible fibers, chemical inclusion
and toner fusion. In addition, and as an option, a TamperSafe®
hologram, a MetallicSafe®
security serial number and optional CodeSafe®
technology - "a synthetic D.N.A. molecular code" - can be added
to the back of each sheet.
Level 1 of the NaNOcopy
paper is printed on a 20 pound base sheet and is available to any
entity who needs an affordable anti-copy paper.
Levels 2 and 3 of the extremely high-end SafeImage
paper will be sold by the sheet and only available under strict
certification criteria. The company requires that each sheet be
protected with a recorded audit trail of; the customer, the paper
usage, the paper location or locations, the security document identity
and its expected life cycle.
All three levels incorporate an encrypted nano structure background
which could be used for court enforceable applications.
SafeImage Security Paper
In April of 2001, Verify First Technologies introduced its' new
SafeImage
security paper. This custom true watermark safety paper is
designed with unique security images embedded into it, which can
only be viewed by translucent "pass through" light. SafeImage
security paper also incorporates chemical inclusion protection,
toner fuse adhesion, blue and red visible fibers, invisible fluorescent
fibers, and most important, this very high-end security paper is
available only to security printers with certified and secure facilities.

- Five chemical sensitive stain protections - sensitivity to high
and low polarity solvents, oxidants, acids and alkali
- Chemical stain protection can withstand a 60 minute immersion
test
- 25# watermark bond - MOCR and laser compatible
- 26# CB carbonless for multi part forms - MOCR compatible
VerifyFirst Security Envelope
In March of 2002, VFT launched its' new VerifyFirst
Security Envelope. This unique security envelope incorporates
a wrap-around window for see through viewing and powder substances
will adhere to window.
The window is also designed to promote viewing of the LogoDot®
pattern printed on the inside of the envelope. The LogoDot®
graphic security cannot be photocopied or scanned without distortion.
The presence of LogoDot®
helps provide verification that the envelope and its contents were
sent from a trusted source.
